Setting up email client
When you have completed signing up for your account you may first login to your online Webmail ... http://www.quaymail.com/webmail ... (username = you@quaymail.com/or ... you@yourdomain.com ... pw= your password ) where you will find many usefull tools and full details. You can use the automatic configuration tool to set up your email client ... eg 'Outlook /Express' or 'Windows Mail' or set it up manually using the following details, pay particular attention to the '+' sign in your account name.
Manual Settings For Mail Client :.. eg ... Outlook/Express, Windows Mail etc.
Incoming Mail Server POP3, IMAP etc = : mail.quaymail.com
Outgoing Mail Server SMTP, SMTPS etc = : mail.quaymail.com
Account name = : username+quaymail.com ... (note the '+')
Tick box : My server requires authentication (you may need to come back to 'properties')
Please follow exactly as above ... ie ... DO NOT tick ... 'Logon using secure password authentication'

Your first email address (the one you signed up with) is your main 'Account Name' with QuayMail.com. You may add or delete additional email addresses, or edit your details etc. by logging into your account
TO setup your own DomainName email replace every 'quaymail.com' with 'yourdomain.com'
WEBSITE
If you purchase your own Domain Name to be hosted by QuayMail.com you will need to set your DNS ... Domain Name Servers ( in your account at your domain registrar ) to :
NS1.BYETHOST28.ORG
NS2.BYETHOST28.ORG
As soon as you advise QuayMail.com of you new Domain name it will be setup on our Server and you will be advised of all your access details etc.
Please keep in mind that your domain name will not be visible on the internet for between 24 and 72 hours. This process is called Propagation. Until your domain has Propagated through computer systems around the world, your website and email will not function correctly.
IMPORTANT: Please be sure that your homepage is saved as an`index file e.g., index.htm, index.html, index.php etc.
We suggest you download 'smart ftp' from http://smartftp.com if you do not already have an ftp client (file tranfer protocol) , to upload your website files.
How to Use FTP without using an FTP client ::

L click 'My Computer'
Type in address bar ... ftp://yourpassword@yourdomain.com
server = yourdomain.com ... username = yourdomain@quaymail.com ... pw = your pw
Login ... then you will see all your folders and files ... You may then Copy and Paste files.
Do not tinker with existing setup files in there: cgi-bin, ftpquota, htaccess, or you will break it !
How to Use FTP in Firefox ::
Download the FireFTP plugin at the Mozilla website. When the download is finished, open the file with Mozilla FireFox and follow the instructions to install the FireFTP plugin.
Start the plugin by going to the "Tools" section on the menu bar and selecting "FireFTP" in the drop-down menu. Once the plugin is enabled, then you can start using it to connect to FTP servers on the web.
Connect to an FTP server by selecting the "Create an account" drop-down menu. When the Account Manager screen appears, input your FTP server information in the fields and click on "Connect" to connect to the server.

Transfer files to your FTP server by selecting the files in the left window pane and clicking the right arrow. Conversely, you can transfer files from your FTP server by selecting the files in the right window pane and clicking the left arrow.
